In November 2000, the DS650 finished 1st in its first- ever participation in the Score Baja 2000 described as the longest and most grueling off-road endurance race in the world. In December 2000, the DS650 also won the Roof of Africa 1,00 km Race held in Africa, and in February 2001 this ATV sports model won the 24 hour marathon: the Numb-Bum race.
