Hours to complete:
New York's American Radiator Building was another building designed to reflect the builder's line of business. The black brickwork and ember-colored friezes on the edge of the top give the impression of burning coal - a fitting image for the company that had originally commissioned the building, American Radiator, maker of heating systems. This skyscraper, built in 1924m stands 103 meters (338 ft.) tall. It was designed by Raymond Hood, also the architect of the Rockefeller center.
